Pre-Purchase & Compatibility

An eSIM is an embedded SIM built into a compatible device. Instead of inserting a physical SIM card, you install a digital mobile-data profile using one-click setup, a QR code, or manual activation details.
Many recent Apple, Samsung, Google and other devices support eSIM, but compatibility varies by exact model, country or region of purchase, and carrier lock. Check your exact device in our compatibility tool before purchasing.
No. eSIMagine packages are data-only and do not include a phone number, voice minutes, or cellular SMS. You can make calls and send messages through apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, FaceTime, Viber, or Skype using your package data.

Installation & Activation

Check the activation policy shown for your package. If it starts on first network connection, you can install it over stable Wi-Fi before departure, then turn on the travel eSIM and Data Roaming after arrival. If it starts on installation, wait until shortly before you need it.
At your destination, turn on the eSIMagine line, select it for mobile data, and enable Data Roaming. The package activates according to the policy shown for it, usually after it first connects to a supported network. Connection may take a few minutes.
You can delete and reinstall the same eSIM as often as needed, but only on the original device. It cannot be transferred to another phone. There is usually no need to delete an active profile. To connect another device, use Personal Hotspot or data sharing. If reinstalling fails, contact support.

Usage & Management

Yes. Keep your home SIM active if you need calls or SMS, select eSIMagine as the mobile-data line, turn off Data Roaming for your home SIM, and disable cellular data switching. Your home carrier may still charge for calls or SMS abroad, so check its roaming policy.
Yes, all our plans support data sharing. You can use your phone as a mobile hotspot to connect your laptop, tablet, or travel companion's device.
Fixed-data packages stop when their data allowance is used or the package expires, and we do not charge overage fees. Unlimited packages remain online at reduced speed after the daily high-speed allowance is used, until the next reset. If your eSIM supports a top-up or extension, the available options will appear in your account; otherwise, you can purchase a new package.
